Capacity building of African youth is an opportunity and a step towards empowering them to have more impact on the development of their respective countries. Globalisation and digitalisation are factors that have facilitated the cross-fertilisation of knowledge and the development of our nations will not happen without them. Hence the permeability of opportunities that should be seized to train, inform and strengthen their capacities. However, soft skills are emerging as an asset for competitiveness and career success. The COVID-19 pandemic has given us increasing access to knowledge, to networks of experts around the world and to defying borders through digital technology. Indeed, a successful career is all about networking, collaboration and strategic partnership. The input of a third party is always needed to complement each other or to improve or make a better assessment. Networking therefore leads to the exchange of ideas and expertise in such a way that each stakeholder can find something to contribute that will help them to better develop their field of action. This sharing therefore creates a relationship of mutual benefit in the long term.  It is therefore imperative to build a better career.

Working in isolation and ignorance can have a negative impact on our network and on building a strategic partner for a successful career.

Addressing these two challenges can be seen through the objective of making recommendations during this webinar that will provide participants with some skills and show them that they can seize the opportunity to create a sustainable network for their career.
