First joint ERASMUS Days online event with WBAA & ASAF
In the framework of the Erasmus Days 2020, the first joint online event by WBAA (Western Balkans Alumni Association) and ASAF took place last Thursday, 15 October 2020. With 46 participants (most of them WBAA or ASAF members) joining virtually from all over the world, the event was a full success!
ASAF and WBAA organised their first joint online event during which a lot of useful information on the Erasmus+ Programme was shared with the participants.
Marta Gutierrez Benet, Programme Manager within Directorate General for Education and Culture (DG EAC) and responsible for the Erasmus+ Programme design and implementation, gave insights into news and activities concerning the Erasmus+ Programme for 2021. She talked about different possibilities on how to participate in the key actions of this programme in general and also shared details on each programme unit. Both Albert Sésé-Ballart, representative of the WBAA network, and Fiorella Perotto representing ASAF, added specific knowledge of their regions regarding the Erasmus+ Programme and the current developments and plans for 2021/2022. Felix Kwabena Donkor, ASAF member, moderated the whole session.
Afterwards, Yamungu Alongo Boniface – ASAF member – and Marina Tomovic – current WBAA board member – briefly presented both networks.
In the following Q&A session, the participants were given the opportunity to ask questions regarding the Erasmus+ Programme and the input they had received before. Being quite engaged and interested, the participants raised a lot of questions about scholarships, trainings, and general possibilities for alumni in different Erasmus+ Programmes.
All in all, it was a very interactive and informative event for everyone, including the speakers and participants. We are looking forward to more events like this one and really appreciated the diverse and collaborative character this joint Erasmus Days online event had!
