Education is universally recognised as a vital tool for social transformation and progress. This is underlined in the African Union’s Agenda 2063 (The Africa We Want) as well as espoused in the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The complexity of the challenges in the educational sector calls for collaboration between core stakeholders, including governments, civil society, and non-governmental organisations, amongst others.
